Need low-cost online website builder for clients - Web Hosting Talk

I started my hosting company 12 years ago and offered clients free online website building with a dead program called WebUMake. It's features are so old that it's an embarrassment.

I need to find an alternative that's very lost cost to me per client as I charge very little for hosting. The pricing for RVSiteBuilder looks good. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on how easy it is to use for extremely inexperienced clients? Any alternatives that you'd recommend? Any advise would be appreciated.

I think that RV SiteBuilder is a viable option. As you said, the costs are relatively low.
As for the user-friendliness, it's just a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)... it's pretty simple and easy to use, no need for any html / css knowledge.

RV Site is really old. Take a look at newer web builders like Breezi, BaseKit and ScrollKit.

Hi, we've been using RV Site Builder Pro with RV Skin. It's been great.

My best experience is the plesk sitebuilder wizard, very powerful and user friendly. Hostgator offers it if you're not awared of yet.

In all honesty, RVSite Builder is a dinosaur and doesn't really provide much of a viable solution for giving customers a web presence they can promote. I can speak from experience, we offer it mainly as a courtesy at this point (because its better than nothing), however I always recommend to clients Joomla/Worpress first as those platforms are more in tune with todays times.

Trendy Site Builder... is good, however my understanding is that all of the designs are flash based? If that's true, probably wont be worth the investment as flash is currently being pushed out of the market (in a hurry it seems like). With that being said, either or would serve as good short term solutions, however I would personally start looking for the next best thing (which at this point, Im not entirely sure I know what that is, but if you find one, please be sure to share it :-)

RVSite Builder allow clients to make a decent site in a few hours, however managing the site using it is quite circumstantial to be honest. We offer it to all our clients as an added value for those with simple needs. Plesk on the other hand is a lot more effective and easy to manage and does feel professional. Another builder which I can recommend is SiteReptile. Although it's not well known it has a good interface and the backend is very user friendly. Best way to tell is to try them out. Good Luck!

We finally dropped RV Sitebuilder since no customer had touched it in about 2 years. There are plenty of more useful alternatives.

Did the same thing.

Site builder is not being used anymore since almost all users are familiar with designing site already plus there are wordpress, joomla, etc...
